SEA HOPE was built in Marinette, Wisconsin in 1987 to exacting standards for the US Navy. The hull is a solid, proven performer (this style hull was also used for minesweepers). She is equipped with extensive safety systems,
SEA HOPE is 108 feet long with a 24 foot beam. She has about a 7 foot draft. SEA HOPE has two Detroit Diesel 12V71 engines for propulsion power, and two Detroit Diesel 371 diesels with 50 KW generators for electrical power. Her fuel tanks are about 6700 gallons, and at economical speed this gives a range of about 3000 miles. There are 24 bunks onboard with a full galley and dining area.
