January 2021 Newsletter

We just want to praise the LORD for HIS blessings! Thank you to so many of our supporters that were able to send a special Christmas love offering to the ministry of SEA HOPE. We also thank the Lord for 2 new supporting churches since our October Newsletter. Even during a pandemic with postponed presentations, HE does the impossible.

Friday November 20th the LORD allowed us to take SEA HOPE to her homeport at Gulfport Mississippi Municipal Marina. Thank you to Billy Nelson and his grandson Jon of Ocean Springs, MS and Rick and Tristan Smith of Pickens, SC for coming on short notice to help Mary and I move her from Jemison Marine in BAYOU LA BATRE, ALABAMA where the new flooring was finished.

What a privilege on Monday Nov. 23rd to give a tour to one of our greatest encouragers and faithful prayer warriors, Dr. Rene Freret of BEAMS.

OperationRoc - Reaching our Caribbean Pastor Scott Hester, Key West Baptist Temple

Mary and I visited Key West Baptist Temple on Stock Island, Florida the weekend of December 13th. The visit allowed us to thank the folks of KWBT for their support of SEA HOPE, to discuss plans for 2021 with Pastor Scott Hester whose ministry, Reaching Our Caribbean, we have partnered with for evangelistic outreach, and for us to look at a possible location to moor SEA HOPE closer to the mission field. The marina in Gulfport, Mississippi is a great facility, and we have tremendous support on the Gulf Coast, but from there it is a long way to the mission field in terms of both time and fuel. The facility we looked at on Stock Island is excellent and would save over 1000 miles and 6 days per mission.

Next Step - Calvary Baptist Tabernacle Ministries Carolina, Puerto Rico

We are scheduled to visit Puerto Rico in January to attend Calvary Baptist Tabernacle Ministries 40th Anniversary and Missions Conference with Brother Johnny Daniels, Pastor White, Pastor Hester and other ministries interested in reaching the Caribbean. Some national pastors will also attend. While there we are going to look at a marina on Puerto Rico. This marina would place SEA HOPE right in the middle of the Caribbean.

Once we have all the details, we will be faced with a difficult choice of where to put SEA HOPE. Please join us in praying for God's clear direction in this very important decision.

Joe Sprinkle did an outstanding job on the new flooring.
